I wanted to pass on a recommendation for a moving company that did an absolutely outstanding job for us recently.... Weeklong Movers, at 636-947-4484. Ask for Jimmy. Prior to booking a mover I did a bunch of research online, including checking out the St. Louis chapter of the Better Business Bureau. We didn't need someone as big as United or Mayflower, so I only looked at smaller moving companies.

Some never returned my calls or emails. I got a couple of bids for somewhere between $800 and $900 to move us. One of those was from Two Men and a Truck, which we'd been told were expensive, but really good. When checking out all of these people at the BBB site (including Two Men), I found almost all of them have had numerous complaints filed against them - some of them more than 100 - and that's only the peoplethat actually filed with the BBB!! Imagine how many more people didn't file!

But, I found Weeklong Movers! They are a member of the BBB, and have a spotless record. I emailed them that night, and had a personal call first thing the next morning. The owner, Jimmy, was extremely polite, thanked me for calling, and said I would not be disappointed with their service because they would take good care of our things. Great customer service skills!

Jimmy and his crew (3 total) showed up at precisely the time they said, loaded up our old place onto two trucks, drove to the new place, unloaded everything where it was marked to go.These guys were amazing! They were very careful, and worked SO fast - our move was complete in 3 and a half hours!! I can honestly say, Jim and his crew made our move from St. Charles, MO to Mt. Carmel, TN one of the best moves we ever made, and at substantially lower rate than we could have got from other movers. I was very concerned about safety of some of my more delicate pieces of furniture, and the transporting of my car. Virtually everything arrived in Tennessee in perfect condition, and right on time. He toed my car on a dolly behind the moving van, and it's wheels never touched the pavement. Not a scratch on it. He supplied all the appropriate size moving boxes, and gave me tips on how to pack them. He even helped getting rid of some items we did not wish to move. Jim and his wife were our neighbors in St. Charles, and are very nice and honest people. I don't think you could go wrong with his service, and I know his rates are far less than other moving companies.
